Picture Day tomorrow!!!

Field Trip
Our 5th grade field trip to Stone Mountain is scheduled for May 15.  The field trip permission slip went home in the Friday folder on 3/13 and is due back with payment no later than April 3.  Parents, we have over 6 chaperones already, but we'd still love to have you!  Since the number of seats on the bus are limited, we might have to have some parents drive over and meet us at Stone Mountain. 

International Night 
Burnette is excited to host our first International and Fine Arts Night here at Burnette Elementary. Please join us on April 2, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 for music, art, food, demonstrations, activities, and cultural displays from around the world. The night will begin in the cafeteria with a presentation of music from around the world presented by our 5th grade chorus. The fun continues as families pick up their passports and travel from region to region and experience the art, food and hands-on activities of China, India, Mexico, United States of America, Korea, Japan and Africa. Your family will leave with a passport full of stamps from regions around the world and many fun memories.

Field Trip
Our 5th grade field trip to Stone Mountain is scheduled for May 15.  The field trip permission slip went home in the Friday folder and is due back no later than April 3.  We are allowed to take 6 chaperones on the trip and they will be chosen on a first come basis. 

International Night 
Burnette is excited to host our first International and Fine Arts Night here at Burnette Elementary. Please join us on April 2, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 for music, art, food, demonstrations, activities, and cultural displays from around the world. The night will begin in the cafeteria with a presentation of music from around the world presented by our 5th grade chorus. The fun continues as families pick up their passports and travel from region to region and experience the art, food and hands-on activities of China, India, Mexico, United States of America, Korea, Japan and Africa. Your family will leave with a passport full of stamps from regions around the world and many fun memories. 

Recently, your child(ren) brought home an activity that will be on display for our International and Fine Arts night. Please assist your child(ren) in decorating the dolls to represent and celebrate your family's heritage. The decorated dolls will be showcased throughout the school during our upcoming International and Fine Arts night. Please return the dolls to your student(s) classroom teacher by Wednesday, March 25,2015. Be sure to write your child's name, teacher, grade, and country on the back of their doll. Have fun and be creative!

International Night  
Mark your calendars for April 2!  Please join us for Burnette's first International Night!  It will be an evening of performances, displays, food and hands-on activities.  You will not want to miss it!  Each student has a blank paper person in their book bag.  Attached to it is a yellow paper with directions.  We are asking each Burnette student to decorate/dress their person in the clothing representative of their heritage.  We are blessed with such diversity here at Burnette.  It will be wonderful to see a display of child-made representations of all our cultures.
