Field Day
We had a great time at Field Day today! I appreciate the positive attitudes and good sportsmanship demonstrated by my students! They make me proud!!!
And, speaking of proud, we were the grade level Tug of War champs!!! Woo Hoo!!!

Also, we are in need of 5th
grade parent volunteers to help with the 5th grade Finale celebration on
Wednesday, May 20th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. As part of the celebration, we will
have an obstacle course, photo booth, Kona Ice, popcorn, and other games. We
will have an activity, the 5th Grade Finish, which consists of 15 activities for
the students to participate in. Each class will be divided into groups. We need
one parent volunteer to assist with each group (4-6 students each). The 5th
Grade Finish will take about an hour to complete. Weather permitting, we will be
outdoors. The best thing about signing up to volunteer - you get to spend the
afternoon with your 5th grade student:)!

- Field Trip - Friday, May 15 All chaperones that paid will be able to ride the bus! Thank you for volunteering your time to go with us! Be here by 8:30 - we are leaving at 8:45!!! Wear sunscreen and a hat. Bring a water bottle and a snack. You can carry a small sling bag on your back if you need to. Bring a beach towel. The towel will stay on the bus. You will most likely get wet, and this will come in handy when we get back on the bus!
- May 18: Electronics Day! No "M" games or anything not appropriate for school.
- May 19: Good Behavior Reward Movie in the morning. Board Games or Read All Day! Awards Ceremony Rehearsal at 1:30.

Volume Robots
Please see the pictures below of the fabulous robots the children created. They determined the volume of their robot and then added an electric circuit. Some have light up eyes, some buzz and some have a motor! They did an AWESOME job!!!
