Rolling Out the Red Carpet
Be our guest as the red carpet is rolled out for you!  We are honoring our parent volunteers. Please join us for breakfast in the Burnette Cafeteria Friday, March 20 at 9:00 a.m.

Nine Weeks Reward Celebration
Thank you so much to those of you that volunteered for snacks and drinks for our 9 week reward celebration.  I truly appreciate your help!!!

  • Please save boxes for our volume unit!  We'll need rectangular or square boxes of any size...cracker boxes, granola bar boxes, shoe boxes, Kleenex boxes, etc.  In about 2 weeks, I'll ask that you send in what you have!  Thank you in advance for your help!!!  

Word Study

  • Review 3rd quarter prefixes, suffixes and bases (complete list can be found in the word study/spelling tab). 
  • Review Test - Friday

February Bookmarks
The bookmarks for the school wide reading program are due on Friday! 

Yearbook Picture
The 5th grade picture for the yearbook is scheduled for tomorrow morning.  Children will be wearing their new 5th grade t-shirts (they'll be delivered in the morning).  If your child did not order a t-shirt, he/she should wear blue!

Science (Upchurch's Class)

  • Complete menu for Chemical Change CafĂ© - due Friday:  Design a menu for the Chemical Change Cafe.  Include a cover for the menu including the title Chemical Change Cafe and a color illustration.  Inside, include 6-10 menu items - food items that undergo a chemical change.  For example, pancakes.  Add a brief description of the food item and make a color illustration.  Please choose food items that were not discussed in class (ie. pancakes).
