Please make sure that you've seen the email from Mrs. Hall about the winter party. If you haven't already, please sign-up to help out with food items via the Sign-up Genius link in her email. In addition, she is asking that children bring a wrapped book ($5) for a book exchange. Our winter party is on Friday, December 20 beginning at 1:30. Remember that the Secret Santa Stocking Stuffer is next week. Your child needs to bring a stocking with their name on it no later than Friday, December 13. In addition, the children have been assigned a day to be "Secret Santa" and we are asking that on their day each child fill the stockings of each person in our class (26) with some sort of trinket - erasers, gel pens, notepads, etc. The children will get to take their stocking full of goodies home with them on Friday, December 20.

Talent Show in Music Class will be Thursday, December 19. Children have a form to fill out and return to Mrs. Grant if they'd like to participate. More information was in the Friday folder.
We will have our 9 weeks reward celebration next week. This reward is for children with three or fewer checks in their choice card this nine weeks. If you'd like to help out with the snack, we need boxes of Caprisuns and box of chocolate or powdered sugar donuts from SAMs - wrapped in small packages. Thanks!!!
Our classroom spelling bee will be December 19th. Classroom winners will be notified on Friday, December 20. The school wide spelling bee is Thursday, January 16. The links for the practice sheets are attached again below. I encourage children to start studying!!!

Word Study
- Review of prefixes and bases learned this nine weeks. Only a test (tomorrow) of the prefixes/bases, their meaning, and an example word (spelled correctly) from our word lists that use that prefix/base. Children have a study sheet to study from!
Science (Upchurch's Class)

- Unit Test - Thursday, 12/19 - children that want to study early should begin studying the facts about the earth's layers on the worksheet entitled "A Tour of Down Under."
