Readers Rally Meeting!

Come find out what Readers Rally is all about!
This is an informational meeting for parents and students who are interested in being part of the Readers Rally team.

Today we had a STEM activity entitled Punkin' Chunkin'.  The children made catapults to chunk a candy pumpkin.  Pictures are below!  It was a great way to practice some math and science skills as well as some critical thinking and problem solving skills!  You would be amazed at how far some of the candy pumpkins traveled!

• Some children had trouble with multiplying and dividing with powers of ten today when we were working on both.  Grades for those are on the portal.  Children with scores below a 75 need to work on making corrections on their papers and we'll have a working lunch next week to follow-up and reteach!
• Shop Till You Drop project - part 1 due Monday, October 20.  A sample of a problem and labeled solution is below.  Children do NOT have to type the problem, but certainly may if they wish.  Part 2 will be due Monday, October 27.
