Field Trip
Our 5th grade field trip to Stone Mountain is scheduled for May 15.  The field trip permission slip went home in the Friday folder on 3/13 and is due back with payment no later than April 3.  Parents, we have over 6 chaperones already, but we'd still love to have you!  Since the number of seats on the bus are limited, we might have to have some parents drive over and meet us at Stone Mountain.

Burnette is excited to host our first International and Fine Arts Night here at Burnette Elementary. Please join us tonight from 6:00 - 8:00 for music, art, food, demonstrations, activities, and cultural displays from around the world. The night will begin in the cafeteria with a presentation of music from around the world presented by our 5th grade chorus. The fun continues as families pick up their passports and travel from region to region and experience the art, food and hands-on activities of China, India, Mexico, United States of America, Korea, Japan and Africa. Your family will leave with a passport full of stamps from regions around the world and many fun memories.  Hope to see you tonight!!!

Agenda for tonight:
6:00-6:25  PTA Meeting:  PTA members will vote on the budget amendments and the 2015-2016 PTA Executive Board.

6:30-7:00  5th Grade Chorus:  The 5th Grade Chorus, under the leadership of Brittany Grant, will perform a variety of songs celebrating different cultural heritages.

7:00-8:00  International Artwork and Activities:  Families will travel together (students must stay with their parents) through the hallways viewing artwork and participating in a variety of activities. *Time may only permit families to visit a couple countries of their choice.
