Monday, April 20

The children did a GREAT job today!  Testing was long, but they worked hard and stuck with it!  I am so proud of their efforts!  Thanks, parents, for the snacks that helped us get through the morning!

Spotlight Books (from Mrs. Upchurch)
Inside Friday's Folder is a green workbook called Spotlight. This was one of the tools we used this year for close reading, comparing and contrasting and GMAS prep.   We are finished with it for the year.  Please feel free to go over it with your child.   We did not do the entire book due to time constraints.  Feel free to use the unfinished parts for practice this weekend.

Candy Request
We are in need of individually wrapped candy for the candy jar.  If you can help out with a bag of candy, I'd appreciate it.  I suggest any of the following:  Nerds, Smarties, Dum Dums, Jolly Ranchers, or Skittles (please no chocolate or peanut products).  Thank you very much!!!

Georgia Milestone Testing
The Georgia Milestone tests begin this week!  Testing dates are Monday, 4/20 ELA (section 1 & 2); Tuesday, 4/21 ELA (section 3); Thursday, 4/23 Math; Monday, 4/27 Science; and Wednesday, 4/29 Social Studies.
