Our classroom spelling bee will be Wednesday, December 17. The two winners from our classroom spelling bee will participate in the schoolwide spelling bee on Wednesday, January 21. I encourage children to study hard for the bee using the practice sheets that were sent home in Friday folders back in the beginning of November. Thursday, December 18 is Pajama Day for the 5th grade. Enjoy wearing your pajamas to school (bring slippers, if you wish) and snuggling up with a good book.
You'll find the Six Flags Read to Succeed reading log in Friday folders. This reading log will earn your child a free Six Flags ticket if it is completed (6 hours of reading logged) and turned in on time. Reading logs are due February 23.
Math
- Homework - Some children are completing a practice page for a redo on our math test. We'll go over the practice page Monday and redo that part of our test on Tuesday.
- Fraction Cookie Project - Cookies and project are due Monday, 12/15. Please see sample project below. I sent construction paper home Friday for this project.
